The Power 5 is Michelin's newest Hyper Sports tyre. The tyre features new hi silica compounds. The centre compound has been optimised for great straight line acceleration, hard braking and long life while travelling between the twisty bits. The softer shoulder compound is layered over a firmer structural rubber which is stiffer with less flex to aid stability into, through and while accelerating out of corners. The wet grip is exceptional for a sports tyre due to the silica compounds, special sipes and unique side dimples. These are a great option for the sport rider who likes sports performance and reasonable tyre life.
